A serious traffic accident shocked the province of Missionsin Argentina, in the early hours of this Sunday, when a double-decker bus belonging to the company Northern Sun fell from a bridge into the Yazá streamleaving a balance of nine people dead and at least 29 injured.
The accident occurred around 4:30 in the morning this Sunday, October 26th on the national route 14at the height of the kilometer between Oberá and Campo Vierain northeastern Argentina.
According to police sources, the bus, in which about 50 passengers were traveling, collided head-on with a Ford Focus car before rushing into the stream. At that time, the area was covered by a dense fogwhich would have significantly reduced visibility on the road.
Accident leaves nine dead and dozens injured
The Missions Police confirmed that the fatalities are three women and six menwhose identities have already been verified. All the bodies were taken to SAMIC Hospital of Oberá for medical-legal proceedings and subsequent delivery to family members.
For their part, the 29 injuredamong 5 and 67 yearswere treated in the hospitals of Oberá and Campo Viera. Four of the patients had to be referred to the Madariaga Hospital of Posadas due to the severity of his injuries.
Rescue tasks and expert reports in progress

The rescuers reported that they managed to evacuate all the people from the upper deck of the busalthough the tasks were extended to the lower level, where passengers remained trapped.

The bus had left from Obera bound for Puerto Iguazumaking stops in intermediate locations such as May 2nd.
