The agency aims to increase the capacity of detention centers from 40,000 to 100,000 beds by the end of the year.
The report added, quoting documents seen by the American newspaper, that the agency gives priority to the large -scale camps in the military bases and migration and customs administration prisons, including a 5,000 -bed site in Fort Bliss, Texas and other sites in Colorado, Indiana and New Jersey.
The report said that senior US officials in the Ministry of Internal Security, including the Minister of Internal Security Christie Naim, expressed their preference for detention centers run by the Republican states and local governments instead of private prison companies.
