How should you play the Powerball Double Play?
Double Play is a drawing that gives Powerball players a second chance. You can participate again with your Powerball numbers in a separate drawing, with a maximum cash prize of $10 million.
To play it, you must mark the Double Play feature on your Powerball ticket for the amount of an additional $1 per play.
Important: Powerball tickets that include the Double Play feature can win prizes in both drawings.
How do you get your prize?
Just like Powerball, prizes must be claimed in the state where the winning ticket was purchased. Players in general can claim a prize of up to $600 dollars at any business authorized to sell lottery in the geographic location where they purchased the ticket.
Prizes greater than $600 dollars can be requested at the main lottery headquarters in each case. However, there are also some authorized establishments, whose address should be duly consulted as appropriate.
You have between 90 days and one year to request the redemption of your prize, depending on the restrictions of the jurisdiction in which the ticket was sold. The expiration date usually appears on the return of the ticket. If the expiration date is not listed, check with your state lottery.
