
The Mexican actress Laura Zapata He spoke out regarding the criticism he receives for using filters in the photographs he shares on his social networks. During an interview on the ‘Hoy’ program, the famous woman responded forcefully: “That’s what they were made for, to use them.”
In addition, he launched a controversial opinion towards his detractors: “Let the ugly or the poor criticize, who don’t have the money to pay for those types of filters, do you agree? So, if an ugly person criticizes you, then it’s not worth it.”
The issue generated a wide debate on digital platforms, where users are divided between those who support it and those who consider that it abuses these tools.
Some comments highlight the double social standards: “If she didn’t use filters, they would criticize her for the passage of time. So, it sounds cliché, but do what you want on your networks, as long as you don’t harm anyone, people will criticize anyway”.

Beyond the aesthetic controversy, Zapata was also asked about his future perspective, specifically whether he would consider living in a nursing home during his old age. The actress answered honestly: “No, I haven’t started thinking yet. Time passes and I can’t forget you. Let’s see, as we go we’ll see that.” She trusted that her children, who have accompanied their grandmother’s care process, will act with prudence and affection when the time comes: “because people do what they see.”
