“I have been separated since April”: Angélica Vale confirms her divorce from Otto Padrón



Angelica Vale confirmed in a public and emotional way that he is going through a divorce process initiated by her husband, producer Otto Padrón, after 14 years of marriage. Despite having been separated since April, the legal notification took the artist by complete surprise.

It was through a video on his Instagram account, during the morning of Monday, November 10, that Vale shared the news with his followers. He said that he found out about the lawsuit while having dinner with his family, upon receiving a message about a publication by journalist Javier Ceriani.

“I’m getting divorced. It is true that I have been separated since April, we no longer live together, but… this news took me by surprise“said the interpreter, who added that, although Padrón had told her days before about the possibility of starting the legal process, the formal presentation of the lawsuit occurred without her being aware.

In your message, Angélica Vale stressed that the main interest for both of them is the well-being of their two children: Angélica Masiel and Daniel Nicolás. The actress assured that she wants to be an example for them as a dedicated mother and as a woman who faces adversity with strength.

“Sometimes, behind laughter hide battles that as adults we have to face and this is one of them. We choose peace over any feeling that implies the end of something dreamed of for a lifetime.especially for our children, who will keep us together forever,” he wrote.

Vale also thanked Otto Padrón for the years shared and He expressed his desire to maintain a cordial relationship for the good of the family.

According to court documents, Otto Padrón filed the lawsuit on November 4 in Los Angeles Superior Court. The file, approximately fifteen pages long, quotes “irreconcilable differences” as the cause of the separation.

Among the key points of the lawsuit, the proposal for a shared custody scheme stands out. Padrón proposes that the children reside mainly with their mother, and suggests a distribution of cohabitation: from Monday to Wednesday with one of the parents and from Wednesday to Friday with the otheralternating weekends.

In addition, the document establishes that both parents must maintain respectful communication, allow access to mobile phones with the children and refrain from making negative comments about the other. Notification is also required of any change of address or significant activity related to children.

One of the aspects that has drawn attention is Otto Padrón’s request for Angélica Vale to assume all of the legal and judicial expenses, a request considered unusual in these cases, according to what journalist Javier Ceriani said.
