Former White House lawyer claims Marco Rubio manipulates Donald Trump

Ty Cobb, who at the time served as White House counsel, assures that Marco Rubio, Secretary of State, manipulates President Donald Trump to decide what to do or not to do regarding foreign policy issues.

During an intervention on the television program “Chris Jansing Reports” broadcast by the network MS NOWthe legal expert initially lamented the fact that there is no counterweight in Trump’s cabinet to curb his ideas or perceptions on certain issues when they prove inadequate.

“When I was there, there were people like General (John) Kelly, General (James) Mattis, Nikki Haley and others who could say no effectively. And that doesn’t exist in this administration,” he said.

Immediately afterwards, the Kansas lawyer blamed Marco Rubio for manipulating the New York tycoon regarding the position he should assume towards countries that have characterized themselves as hostile to Washington.

“We have people like Marco Rubio, who seems to have sold his soul, but who enjoys the benefits of being able to manipulate the president on foreign policy issuesas in Cuba, Venezuela and other countries,” he stressed.

Ty Cobb’s words take on notable relevance when analyzing the position assumed by Donald Trump regarding Venezuela by ordering the capture of former president Nicolás Maduro, by assuming control of Venezuelan oil production and even by refusing to organize elections to elect a new president, making it clear that The United States would oversee its political and economic restructuring, which could take years.

Something similar seems to be brewing with respect to Cuba, a nation that the United States intends to encircle more than it has done for more than six decades through a trade blockade.

In fact, recently Trump himself jokingly supported the idea that his Secretary of State could serve as president of the Caribbean nation.in part due to the Cuban roots of the Florida-born politician.

“Sounds good to me!” Trump wrote. on the Truth Social platform.

However, over the weekend, Miguel Díaz-Canel, president of Cuba, responded through another message published on the X platform, formerly known as Twitter.

“No one dictates what we do. #Cuba is a free, independent and sovereign nation. No one dictates what we do. Cuba does not attack; it has been attacked by the United States for 66 years, and does not threaten; it prepares, ready to defend the Homeland to the last drop of blood,” he emphasized.
