Buying and selling a video game in Houston ended in a shooting: one dead and one injured



An apparent Buying and selling a video game led to a fatal shooting Thursday afternoon at the Cranbrook Forest apartment complex, located north of Houstonthe authorities reported.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Department (HCSO), A young man of approximately 20 years old died at the scenewhile a 38-year-old man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Sergeant Greg Pinkins, of the Homicide Division, explained that the injured man had gone to the residential complex to sell a PlayStation to the young man who died.

A third man joined the meeting

According to the report, during the transaction a third individual appeared—not yet identified—who started an argument that quickly escalated into a shooting. The suspect fled the scene prior to the arrival of sheriff’s deputies.

Authorities confirmed that at least two people were armed, although It has not yet been determined who fired the fatal shots. At least one firearm was recovered at the scene as evidence.

The incident occurred around 6:00 pm, at the intersection of Ella Boulevard and W. Rankin Road. The area remained cordoned off for several hours while investigators gathered evidence and interviewed witnesses.
