
He gunman responsible for deadly shooting at Brown University last month and of murder of an MIT professor two days later confessed to both crimes in a series of videos found by authoritiesas revealed by the District Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts.

According to the official transcripts released TuesdayNeves Valente assured that there was planned the attack on Brown University for at least six semesterswhich confirms the prolonged premeditation of crime.
“I had a lot of opportunities, especially this semester… but I always chickened out.”the attacker said in one of the videos, according to the transcript.
The authorities indicated that It is not clear when the videos were recordedalthough its content is considered key to the investigation.
No clear motive for the murders
The transcripts, which were translated from Portuguese to English by the Department of Justicethey do not reveal a specific reason behind the murders, prosecutors reported.
In another part of the recorded testimony, the attacker made reference to a meeting with a possible witnessshowing awareness that he could be identified.
“They confronted me and he knew my license plate… I honestly never thought it would take them this long to find me,” she said.
The attack on Brown
Neves Valente, former graduate student at Brown Universityopened fire December 13 during a study session in a classroom, where killed two students and left at least nine injured.
Two days later, authorities confirmed that the same individual shot and killed MIT professor Nuno Loureiro in Brookline, Massachusetts.
According to the investigation, Neves Valente and Loureiro They attended the same university in Portugalwhere both studied physicsand it is believed that they knew each other previouslyalthough the nature of that relationship has not yet been clarified.
