The Mexican Jesús Alcantar will try to conquer Peru

A new Mexican will go to South America in search of titles. Jesús Alcantar left the Liga MX to sign for Melgar of the first division of Peruvian soccer. Alcantar will have the opportunity to play the South American Cup.

The 22-year-old defender was presented by the Peruvian team. Jesús Alcantar joins a team that has not been able to achieve great results in recent years, but he will try again to be at the top of Inca football.

Welcome to Dominoes, Jesus! 22-year-old Mexican central defender, coming from Necaxa of the Liga MX, with calls to the Mexican under-23 team and the senior team, in addition to a training stint with Sporting Lisbon under-21,” the club wrote on its social networks.

Peruvian media analyze this contract as one more attempt on the part of the board to put together a competitive team. Melgar has the objectives of starting in League 1 and doing well in the continental tournament.

Jesús Alcantar will have a great mentor at the club. Melgar’s coach is Juan Reynoso. The Peruvian strategist is a great connoisseur of Mexican soccer and surely had a degree of responsibility in this hiring. Reynoso has coached Club Puebla and Cruz Azul within the Liga MX.

The 22-year-old defender had had little involvement in professional football. After being in the youth ranks of Sporting Lisboa and Necaxa, Alcantar recently went to the Rayos first team. The Aztec only played 22 games in Liga MX.
