Manny Pacquiao reacted to the professional debut of his eldest son Jimuel Pacquiao –who tied against Brandan Lally last weekend– and commented that He is satisfied with his performance, although he expected more.
In statements to FightHype, Pacquiao expressed that He had warned his son that it wouldn’t be easy, but he is sure that Jimuel learned a lot from this first experience.
“He did well for his first fight and he didn’t have much experience as an amateur. He only had a couple of fights in the amateur and then he went pro like that. So for me, I am satisfied with this presentation. Although we expected more“It is a good experience for him to have experienced a professional fight like this,” he said.
“I told him it wouldn’t be easy in advanceI told him that you know, this fight, the professional is different from the amateur and also from sparring or training, especially being your first time. “Now I am sure he learned a lot from this first fight,” he added.
In the fight, The 24-year-old Filipino dominated the first two roundsbut the American – who was also making his debut – regained control of the fight in the final rounds and threw a greater volume of blows.
