‘No Kings’ protest in Los Angeles: chaos and arrests after demonstration


The protest ended with eviction orders and arrests mostly peaceful “No Kings” group as the demonstration intensified this Saturday night in downtown Los Angeles.

The protest in Los Angeles was organized by SoCal 50501 and Service Employees International Union Local 721along with Black Lives Matter Grassroots of Los Angeles, Removal Coalition, Working Families Party, Black Women for Wellness, and the Human Liberation Coalition, among others.

SoCal 50501 is the Los Angeles section of the group 50501which calls itself “a peaceful and decentralized grassroots political movement with the mission of defending democracy and constitutional governance.” Its name comes from “50 protests. 50 states. 1 Movement”.

Some of the protesters said the protests occurred mainly for the immigration operations carried out in Los Angeles and in several Southern California counties.
