Hispano wore false police vests to invade homes in Texas



A 29 -year -old Hispanic, identified as Andrés Hernández Torres, faces formal charges for aggravated robbery with mortal weapon and aggravated kidnapping in the Harris County. It remains in custody with a bond set at $ 450,000 and must appear at a preliminary hearing on September 15, 2025.

According to judicial documents, Hernández Torres and other men broke up on July 30 into an apartment in the 9002 block of Sterlingshire, getting through police officers. They wore vests with the word office and carried firearms. Once inside, they tied a man and two women with plastic car, and stole belongings of the house.

Repeated pattern

On August 4, another case was reported with the same modus operandi in the 7065 block of Bellfort Street. The suspects submitted the occupant of the house and tied it, before fleeing with the stolen.

According to the investigation, Hernández Torres would have acted as an escape driver, although he has no driver’s license.

The Houston Police Department (HPD) investigates whether the defendant is linked to a third robbery in the 4800 block of Bellnole Street, as well as with other invasions reported in the same area.

The Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that firearms were used in all incidents and that the victims were subjected under death threat.

Due to the seriousness of the charges, the authorities requested strict precautionary measures, ensuring that the bond is not excessive, but sufficient to guarantee the accused’s appearance.

Meanwhile, detectives review surveillance videos and other judicial documents, and The official photograph of the detainee is expected in the next few days.
