This Monday, The National Public Radio (NPR) inaugurated the fifth annual edition of its iconic Tiny Desk concert series, known as “El Tiny”with the Argentine singer -songwriter’s show Fito Páez.
The concert series of the new delivery will be held from September 15 to October 15 and for the popular NPR offices desktopin Washington, artists such as Gloria Estefan, Carlos Vives and Adrián Quesada will pass.
“El Tiny” is the annual celebration of the month of Hispanic inheritancewhich began this Monday, of NPR Music, cured and produced by the co -presenters of Alt.latino, Felix Contreras and Anamaria Sayre.
This year, Alt.latino also celebrates its 15th anniversary. Since its launch in 2010, the program has been an important platform for Latin voices in music, art and narration.
This anniversary coincides with the prestigious journalism award of the foundation of the Hispanic inheritance that will receive Contreras for its commitment to make Latin music visible.
“Tiny is my favorite time of the year because we celebrate Latin music in all its forms. Wait! We do it all the time! But in the Tiny it is when we present very special artists and performances, ”said Félix Contreras, co -squeaky of Alt.atino and co -producer of El Tiny.
El Tiny concerts premiere three times a week on the NPR Music YouTube channel and in npr.org.
